One of the most anticipated events of early summer is back in Montevarchi. Saturday 21 June 2025 will see the “Varchi Color Run”, a non-competitive race in a blaze of colored powders where the sporting performance doesn’t count, but the fun . The meeting point is set for 6:00 pm at the Capannina, a reference point also for music, food and post-race entertainment.

The program was presented by Mayor Silvia Chiassai Martini and Sports Councilor Lorenzo Allegrucci, together with Valerio and Giada Volpi of the Rinascita Montevarchi Sports Association and Geremia Nannini, manager of Fresko-La Capannina.

“It is an opportunity for fun accessible to everyone – says the Mayor – from young people to families with children for a 3.5 or 7 km route where the goal will be to be together outdoors. We will meet at La Capannina, an iconic place that this year finally reopens after many years. It is a commitment that we care about a lot because we took office in 2016 by buying back the property that had been sold in exchange for work, then investing 120 thousand euros for its renovation. With the new management, on Saturday 14 June, we will officially inaugurate the new venue, completing the redevelopment of the entire Giardini Margherita area, with fitness equipment, games and the new cycle path. It will be an important place for young people to gather, but also for the community that will return to frequent a place that represents our history”

“For the second consecutive year – adds Councilor Allegrucci – we are pleased to propose an engaging event, in collaboration with Rinascita Montevarchi and Avis, in which the dominant element will be color. The important novelty is the musical and gastronomic part curated by La Capannina for complete fun”
